Job Description
You will be involved in strategic projects for the migration and implementation of payment solutions within banking institutions. These projects are part of the digital transformation of the financial sector and require a strong understanding of business processes related to payments (SEPA, SWIFT, transfers, direct debits, etc.) as well as banking information systems. You will support clients in defining their needs, leading scoping workshops, and implementing payment solutions adapted to their operational, regulatory, and compliance challenges.
Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze the needs of banking clients in the payments domain.
- Prepare and independently lead scoping workshops with stakeholders (business, IT, compliance).
- Regulatory and technological watch: anticipating changes (PSD2, SCA, ISO 20022, instant payments, open banking, crypto-assets, etc.)
- Analysis of regulatory impacts on payment processes and systems
- Advise clients on best practices and payment solutions.
- Write functional specifications and ensure consistency with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in functional acceptance testing phases and support implementation.
- Liaise with payment solution publishers to:
- Track software evolutions.
- Coordinate integrations and resolve blocking points.
- Relay specific client needs.
- Lead expert communities (knowledge sharing, feedback, internal training)
- Change management support: training, documentation, user support, digital transformation management
Qualifications
Interbank Payments:
- Mastery of SEPA standards (SCT – SEPA Credit Transfer, SDD – SEPA Direct Debit).
- Knowledge of SWIFT flows (MT, ISO 20022).
- Familiarity with clearing and settlement systems (TARGET2, TIPS).
- Knowledge of security and compliance issues in payment flows (fight against fraud, terrorism, and money laundering).
- Experience: 5 to 8 years as a Payment Business Analyst in the Banking/Insurance sector.
Banking Software:
- Experience with solutions (Sopra Banking, Murex, Calypso) would be a plus
Methodologies:
- Workshop facilitation, scoping, writing specifications.
- Agile / Scrum or V-cycle.
