About the role
Your role in the team
- In this position, you analyze business processes and handle requirements management for the middleware between branches and headquarters, with a strong focus on the technical component.
- You occupy an interface position between Business and IT, translating the needs of our trading companies (including Billa, Penny, Bipa, Adeg, Sutterlüty) into requirements for the software development team.
- As a Business Analyst/Requirements Engineer, you work very closely with the development team and other technical departments.
- You take responsibility for POS software projects, including project planning, agile execution, stakeholder management, and documentation.
- As part of the POS team, you ensure that relevant requirements for the checkout software are considered and implemented in strategic corporate projects.
- You accompany your projects through requirements design, completion, testing, up to rollout and after-launch support.
- In this role, you will oversee the implementation by our external development partners and coordinate interfaces with other IT teams.

Qualifications
- You approach work in a structured and analytical manner and enjoy documenting (Jira / Confluence).
- You have basic knowledge of REST interfaces and Java backend services and have already demonstrated your proficiency with Swagger and Postman.
- You have a quick grasp of concepts and a high level of initiative as well as a sense of responsibility.
- An open personality with good communication skills rounds off your profile.
- You possess very good German and English skills.
Experience
- You already have several years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, Requirements Engineer, or Developer.
- You ideally possess expertise and experience in the POS environment, preferably in retail.
- Experience with Linux (bash) and SQL is a plus.
Education
- You have completed training in the field of IT / Business Informatics.
