Business Analyst Senior Calypso Back-Office

Context

You will be working within a major international player in Global Markets, in a team responsible for the Calypso software package, used in Back-Office for several business lines: Fixed Income, ALM Treasury, Prime Brokerage and Equities, across multiple instances. The environment is of high functional and technical added value, with a major focus on technical upgrades, cross-asset transformation, and structuring projects with a direct impact on business lines and operations.

Your Role

Your role is structured around 5 main areas, combining functional expertise, project management, and advanced support.

1️⃣ Project Management – 50%

• Pilot projects for business lines and users (opening new markets, integrating new brokers, reporting evolutions, enriching interfaces with Calypso)
• Contribution to a major strategic project (Prime Brokerage instance)
• Coordination of stakeholders: business lines, IT, international teams

2️⃣ Evolving Maintenance – 20%

• Collection and analysis of user needs
• Proposal of new features or interfaces (editor / internal teams)
• Organization and execution of functional testing and non-regression testing
• Writing of test scenarios (manual and/or automated)
• Anticipation of product evolutions in conjunction with the editor
• Writing of procedures and change management

3️⃣ Advanced Functional Support – N3 – 10%

• Analysis and resolution of complex incidents (Front Office, Back Office, Accounting)
• Collaboration with functional support teams
• Proposals for improvement of operational processes and reduction of support load

4️⃣ International Coordination (Offshore) – 10%

• Support for upskilling international teams
• Validation of deliverables and support actions
• Facilitating communication between sites

5️⃣ Transverse Global Markets Topics – 10%

• Contribution to Calypso cross-asset transition work
• Participation in global topics impacting all entities

Interfaces

You will interface with:

• Back-Office Operations teams of several entities
• IT & Development teams (France & international)
• Business lines, Front Office, Finance, Risk, Trade Support, Regulatory teams
• External partners: custodians, brokers, CCPs, clients

Essential Skills

• Strong Business Analyst / MOA expertise in a CIB environment
• Confirmed mastery of Calypso Back-Office
• Solid knowledge of settlement-delivery operations (bilateral, clearing, CCPs, brokers)
• Very good SQL practice
• Experience in project management (scoping, planning, governance, risks)
