About The Role
We are seeking two Senior Business Analysts to join our Enterprise Business Systems team—one on a contract basis and one as a full-time position. These roles are based at our office located at 20 Bay Street and involve active collaboration with internal stakeholders to identify business requirements, optimize processes, and support the deployment of technology solutions. The Senior Business Analysts will serve as vital liaisons between finance and technical teams, translating complex business needs into actionable system functionalities. They will lead efforts in process improvement, system configuration, and testing to ensure that solutions align with organizational goals and industry best practices. The ideal candidates will possess strong analytical skills, experience in financial systems, and the ability to foster cross-functional collaboration to deliver impactful technology initiatives.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, Business Process Improvement, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Demonstrated experience or training as a Business Analyst, preferably within the transport, construction, or public sector industries.
- Hands-on experience analyzing and optimizing financial systems such as OneStream, Oracle EBS, including configurations, integrations, and process improvements.
- Experience leading teams to successfully deploy technology solutions in relevant industries is an asset.
- Knowledge of financial systems like Oracle EBS, OneStream, JIRA is an asset.
- Excellent business analysis, technological, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and foster collaboration among diverse stakeholder groups.
- Experience and understanding of finance business processes, requirements gathering, and process redesign.
- Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
- Proficiency with analytical and project tools such as data modeling, workflows, MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Project, Power BI).
- Strong interpersonal, oral, written, and presentation communication skills for documenting and presenting business needs, specifications, and reports.
Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of business goals, practices, and processes to translate into system requirements and project scope.
- Act as a bridge between finance stakeholders and technical teams, translating complex business needs into practical technical solutions.
- Investigate business unit functions and processes, proposing automation, streamlining, and technological enhancements to improve effectiveness and user experience.
- Evaluate and support technical solution designs, including system configurations, integrations, APIs, and data transformations, ensuring alignment with business needs and industry standards.
- Facilitate the development and documentation of technology solutions, ensuring smooth implementation and transition to production environments.
- Identify, develop, and document new or modified business policies, procedures, and workflows to support system deployment and adoption.
- Lead stakeholders through systems testing, identifying gaps, and recommending solutions to resolve issues effectively.
- Coordinate dialogue between business units and technical teams to prioritize objectives, manage expectations, and resolve conflicts during project execution.
- Assist stakeholders in understanding project scope limitations and managing expectations during implementation phases.
- Support change management initiatives by developing communication plans, training materials, and risk mitigation strategies to facilitate system adoption.
- Promote best practices and innovative solutions while maintaining operational stability and governance compliance.
- Identify project and technology risks, perform readiness assessments, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Prepare project reports, including financial analyses, status updates, risk logs, and performance metrics to monitor progress and budgets.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, identify areas of waste or duplication, and recommend process improvements to enhance project efficiency.
