About The Role
The Business System Analyst / Analyst Digital Platform role at TCS involves working closely with cross-functional teams to support and enhance core banking systems that underpin financial products and services. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing backlog items, prioritizing tasks, and configuring applications to meet business needs. This role requires employing analytical and problem-solving skills to address issues related to the core banking system, supporting backend payments, financial, and accounting processes. The analyst will identify, analyze, and interpret complex data patterns to diagnose data quality and integrity issues, assessing financial impacts and risks. Collaboration with both business and IT teams is essential to explore potential solutions, recommend optimal approaches, and ensure effective communication with stakeholders. The role also involves translating complex business requirements into technical specifications to guide system development or configuration, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role
- Willingness to work in a highly flexible environment, managing multiple priorities
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in formal documentation of functional and non-functional requirements
- Proficiency in statistical tools and packages such as Excel, SPSS, SAS
- Proven experience in data analysis and SQL query writing
Responsibilities
- Review and manage current backlog items, prioritize tasks, and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders
- Employ analytical skills to troubleshoot issues related to the Core Banking System supporting financial products and services
- Identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends within complex data sets to diagnose data quality and integrity issues
- Assess financial impacts and risks associated with data and system issues
- Participate actively in collaboration sessions with business and IT teams to explore solutions and recommend best approaches based on impact and value
- Engage and inform stakeholders about product development progress, risks, and changes to ensure transparency and alignment
- Translate complex business requirements into detailed technical specifications to guide system development or configuration
- Support the configuration and enhancement of applications to meet evolving business needs
