About the role

Your Impact

As part of an engagement team, typically comprising 2-5 consultants led by an engagement manager, you will drive the execution of a transformation initiative that elevates client performance. Using a proven, methodology-driven approach to large-scale transformation, you will engage in three primary phases: Independent Diligence, Bottom-Up Planning, and Implementation. This role provides exposure to multiple business areas, allowing you to rotate responsibilities across the Transformation Office and functional areas.

You will work closely with clients on-site and take ownership of specific workstreams and deliverables within the overall transformation program. Your focus will be on achieving transformation objectives within your workstream while coaching clients to develop effective improvement plans and fostering a culture of rapid decision-making. Your role will be vital in mobilizing and exceeding client expectations in their change journey.

Your growth will be anchored in McKinsey's global Transformation practice, where you will collaborate with a diverse team and engage with clients from various sectors. You'll work with transformation experts and support a range of individuals from C-suite executives to front-line workers.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3+ years of experience in corporate or professional services, particularly in operations, finance/accounting, or growth initiatives.
  • Management consulting or experience with large-scale change management and transformations is a plus.
  • Preferred experience in program management for transformational change.
  • Expertise in operational turnaround, business planning or P&L modeling, and working capital management.
  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret financial statements.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving and quantitative analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Willingness to travel 50-80% of the time.
