Summary

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with Insurance domain knowledge who can lead initiatives from inception to completion. This position requires exceptional analytical and leadership abilities to define intricate business requirements, validate solutions, and coordinate efforts across multiple teams. Preferred experience includes automation, API integrations, business rules management, and a background in the insurance industry, specifically life and annuity. Familiarity with Appian is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from discovery through delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Gather, analyze, and document complex business requirements (BRD/FRD, user stories, acceptance criteria).
• Define and validate API integration requirements, including payloads, contracts, and error handling.
• Understand and document business rules; ensure traceability and compliance.
• Coordinate across multiple teams (Product, Engineering, QA, Operations) to manage dependencies and risks.
• Drive validation activities including UAT planning, test case design, and defect triage.
• Facilitate workshops, sprint demos, and stakeholder signoffs; maintain clear communication and status reporting.

Requirements

• 7 10+ years as a Business Analyst, with experience leading initiatives.
• Strong background in automation and API‑driven solutions.
• Experience in the insurance industry, particularly in life and annuity.
• Ability to write complex, testable requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Familiarity with BPM tools; Appian knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of SQL for data validation.
• Experience with Appian or other BPM platforms (Appian, Pega, UiPath, Automation Anywhere).
• Knowledge of API documentation tools (Swagger/Open API) and testing tools (Postman).
• Certifications: IIBA (CBAP/CCBA), Scrum (CSM/PSM), Appian Level 2+.
