Our client is seeking a highly skilled GitHub Business Analyst (and Technical Writer) to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams by leveraging GitHub as a central platform for collaboration, requirements management, and delivery tracking. This role plays a critical part in modern software delivery by translating business needs into actionable development artifacts while enabling transparency, traceability, and efficiency across the software development lifecycle. Due to the nature of this position supporting the government, only US Citizens can be considered for this role. It is fully remote, east coast hours.
Responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering sessions and translate outcomes into GitHub Issues, Epics, and Projects.
- Write clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Ensure requirements are structured to meet SMART standards
- Manage and prioritize the backlog items using GitHub, ServiceNow or other Fed-approved platforms.
- Maintain documentation in GitHub Wiki or other Fed-approved repositories including SharePoint and Confluence.
Qualifications / Background Profile
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Agile or DevOps environments.
- 1+ years of hands‑on experience using GitHub (Issues, Projects, Pull Requests, Actions, Wikis).
- 1+ years of experience working in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) environment.
- 1+ years of experience translating business requirements into technical artifacts.
- 1+ years of experience working with cross‑functional, distributed teams.
