About the role
Job Summary
- The Business Development Manager will lead strategic revenue growth initiatives, expand market penetration, and strengthen Axion’s presence within the construction, infrastructure, and industrial sectors across assigned locations.
- This role is strictly suited for a commercially driven professional with proven experience in construction chemicals, paints / coatings. with the ability to manage the full business development cycle from opportunity identification to deal closure.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business acquisition across construction, real estate, and infrastructure sectors.
- Develop and execute strategic sales and market penetration plans for assigned region.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, developers, and key stakeholders.
- Promote Axion’s range of construction chemicals, coatings, and engineering solutions.
- Manage full sales cycle: lead generation, proposals, negotiation, and closure.
- Achieve and exceed revenue, margin, and growth targets.
- Conduct market intelligence and competitor analysis.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals and presentations.
- Collaborate with technical and operations teams for project execution.
- Represent the company at industry events, site meetings, and stakeholder engagements.
- Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and reporting.
Requirements (Strict – Non-Negotiable)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- 4–7 years of proven experience in construction chemicals or paints / coating industry (Mandatory).
- Strong professional network within Nigeria’s construction and real estate sector.
- Proven track record of achieving sales/revenue targets.
- Ability to understand and communicate technical product solutions.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and able to work independently.
