A well-established and reputable Interior Design company specialising in Corporate Interior Design projects is seeking a driven, confident, and commercially minded Business Development Manager to join their growing team in Johannesburg and/or Cape Town.

This is an exciting opportunity for a relationship-focused professional with a strong network and proven business development experience within the Interior Design, Architecture, Construction, Property Development, or Built Environment sectors.

The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic relationships, and representing the company professionally within the market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business development initiatives and identify potential project opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
  • Proactively network within the design, architecture, construction, and property development industries
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for corporate interior design projects
  • Represent the company professionally at meetings, networking events, and industry engagements
  • Conduct client presentations and present the company’s services and capabilities confidently
  • Maintain and strengthen long-term client relationships to encourage repeat business
  • Liaise closely with internal teams to ensure successful project handovers and client satisfaction
  • Develop strategic partnerships with key industry stakeholders, consultants, and developers
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and contribute toward company growth objectives
  • Monitor market trends and identify new opportunities within the corporate interiors sector

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Business Development, Sales, Client Relationship, or Account Management role within the Interior Design, Architecture, Construction, Property Development, or related built environment industry
  • Strong understanding of the design and construction sector and how projects are procured
  • Established industry network advantageous
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Highly confident, professional, and well-presented individual
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to represent the company effectively
  • Ability to engage with senior stakeholders, developers, property professionals, and corporate clients
  • Commercially minded with strong business acumen
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and target-driven
  • Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s licence are essential
