Role Overview
Our Toronto office is seeking a highly detail‑oriented Summer or Co‑op Student to support priority data and systems initiatives as a part of our Business Development & Marketing Department. The successful candidate will be a careful and analytical self‑starter who is comfortable working with structured information and large datasets, and who brings a strong interest in how client experience, legal credentials, and firm capabilities are captured and leveraged within a professional services environment. This role offers hands‑on exposure to how a professional services firm manages experience data, legal directory submissions, and CRM systems in support of client development and firm growth.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Transposing and validating experience data from Chambers and other legal directory submissions into the firm’s internal experience database, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Applying and maintaining appropriate metadata tagging to support searchability, reporting, and future CRM use.
- Assisting with data cleanup and quality reviews in preparation for an upcoming migration to a new CRM platform, including identifying duplications, inconsistencies, and legacy data issues.
- Working closely with a Senior Manager, with day‑to‑day guidance from a Senior Specialist and Specialist, to meet project timelines and quality standards.
- Supporting select marketing and communications initiatives, such as website content updates, basic content maintenance, and occasional social media posting, as needed.
The successful candidate must have the following education, experience and/or demonstrated skills:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program (business, law, communications, information management, or a related discipline).
- Strong attention to detail, with comfort working in databases, spreadsheets, and structured content.
- Familiarity with, or interest in, corporate and commercial transactions and/or litigation matters is considered an asset, particularly in understanding how legal experience and credentials are described and categorized.
- Highly organized, reliable, and able to manage repetitive data tasks with accuracy.
- Clear written communication skills and comfort working within established guidelines and taxonomies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft tools (especially Word, Excel, Copilot); experience with databases, CRM systems and AI applications is an asset.
Employment Duration : Starting in May 2026 to August 28, 2026
Salary: $30 per hour
