Reporting to Senior Manager, Learning Evaluation & Portfolio Insights, the Business Insights Analyst plays a pivotal role in enhancing our data management and analytics processes within Enterprise Learning & Development. The ideal candidate is skilled in data processing, coding for data cleaning and extraction, and developing visual reports.
The Business Insights Analyst is responsible for managing data‑processing workflows related to L&D portfolio insights, learning evaluation and measurement data ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data. This role will leverage their technical and analytical skills to extract and analyze data to uncover insights that can guide business decisions. Reporting and visualization will be a key part of the role, requiring the development of interactive reports using Power BI, Tableau, and other tools to effectively communicate business insights to stakeholders. The Analyst will continuously seek improvements by staying abreast of the latest trends and best practices in data analytics and visualization, and by proposing enhancements to current data processes and reporting methods.
Responsibilities
- Manage data‑processing workflows for L&D portfolio insights, learning evaluation and measurement
- Extract, clean, and handle large datasets from various sources to prepare data for analysis
- Utilize statistical methods and analytics techniques to identify trends and patterns
- Screen and prioritize relevant data to ensure that only necessary information is extracted and presented for decision‑making purposes
- Develop interactive reports and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or other tools
- Collaborate with Learning Enablement team members and other COEs across L&D to gather requirements and ensure insights align with business objectives
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI is a must have
- Proficiency in Power Apps and Power Automate is good to have
- Proficiency in programming languages such as VBA, Power Query M, or SQL for data manipulation, transformation, and analysis
- Hands‑on experience with data visualization tools, esp. Power BI and Tableau
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with strong ability to think critically
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of data accuracy and integrity
- Strong communication skills to present complex data in a clear, concise, and compelling manner
- Experience in an HR or L&D governance context is highly desirable
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment while also being able to take initiative and work independently
