A leading player in the telecommunications infrastructure sector across Africa is seeking a highly skilled and commercially astute Business Intelligence Senior Manager to join their Africa Commercial team.

This is a strategic leadership role suited to a data-driven professional with deep expertise in telecommunications, network planning, and advanced analytics, who can translate complex data into actionable business insights that drive revenue growth and competitive advantage.

Duties & Responsibilities

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field
• Data Science certification (minimum requirement)
• 8+ years in telecom network planning/optimisation
• 5+ years in Business Intelligence / Data Analytics
• 3+ years in Data Science & Machine Learning

Key Responsibilities

Data & Business Intelligence

• Build and manage robust, market-leading datasets (network, customer, and market data)
• Deliver actionable insights to support revenue growth and strategic objectives
• Develop tools and methodologies to support Sales and Commercial teams
• Present insights to non-technical stakeholders using data visualisation

Predictive Modelling & Data Science

• Develop and optimise machine learning models to forecast network demand and growth
• Analyse trends and predict the impact of technology changes on infrastructure
• Continuously monitor and improve model performance

Network & Customer Intelligence

• Engage with MNOs to understand rollout strategies and requirements
• Recommend optimal infrastructure locations based on data insights
• Support network planning and drive collocation opportunities
• Track customer behaviour, RAN sharing, and roaming trends

Market Intelligence & Strategy

• Forecast revenue opportunities across African markets
• Provide pricing insights and strategic recommendations
• Analyse competitor activity and market trends in the towerco sector
• Support business growth initiatives through data-driven insights

Collaboration & Leadership

• Work cross-functionally across Africa markets and internal teams
• Support Sales, Site Acquisition, and Commercial teams
• Drive standardisation of tools, processes, and best practices

Package & Remuneration

R1,200,000 - R1,400,000 plus Hybrid, Medical Aid, Provident, Bonus
