About the Role

Leidos is on the lookout for a Business Marketing Outreach Specialist to enhance the exceptional Ameren Illinois Energy Efficiency Program. This role collaborates closely with leadership to develop innovative marketing strategies that elevate brand visibility and encourage participation in the program.

The primary responsibilities will include coordinating and implementing outreach strategies and support marketing initiatives aimed at Ameren Illinois business customers. This encompasses community and partner outreach, special events, and creating print and digital advertising, as well as building concepts for social media and developing materials for Energy Advisor field staff.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing and Business Marketing Manager, you will be a vital outreach and marketing lead, working alongside program managers and subcontractors to achieve Program objectives.

Location

This position operates in a hybrid model, combining remote work with in-office time at our Downtown Peoria office. Expect about 25% travel throughout the Ameren Illinois territory.

Vernon, Marion, Carbondale, and Metro East (Belleville, O'Fallon, Granite City, Edwardsville, Alton, Collinsville).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Program Partners, Trade and Service Organizations, Not-for-Profits, Small Business groups, and Chambers of Commerce throughout the Ameren Illinois Service Territory to promote the Ameren Illinois Energy Efficiency Program.
  • Design and execute marketing materials from inception to completion.
  • Represent the Ameren Illinois Energy Efficiency Program at trade shows and outreach events, delivering presentations on business incentives and program offerings.
  • Develop and manage monthly newsletters and webinars for Business customers and Program staff.
  • Assess the effectiveness and impact of marketing initiatives through tracking and analysis, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Work closely with Energy Advisors to fulfill all marketing collateral requirements.
  • Establish brand positioning, identify target audiences, and create outreach plans aligned with Program goals.
  • Research new opportunities to boost customer brand awareness.
  • Share and promote customer success stories to foster sustained participation.
  • Act as a liaison between the Marketing and Outreach team and the Business Operations team.
  • Regularly complete reports on processes and outreach activities.

Desired Education, Skills, Qualities and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, English, or business.
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, communications, outreach, business, or a related field.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and manage various projects simultaneously.
  • Public speaking and presentation comfort.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive, energetic attitude and a drive to succeed.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change.
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to outstanding customer service.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload requiring quick turnaround.
  • Background in energy efficiency is advantageous, though not required.

This role supports the Ameren Illinois Energy Efficiency Program; however, the employer will be Leidos, with no involvement from Ameren Illinois in the hiring or management processes.

Pay Range

Pay Range $41,600.00 - $75,200.00. This range serves as a guideline, and various factors such as responsibilities, experience, and other aspects will be considered.
