Position Summary
UNCOMN is seeking a Business Process Analyst 3-4 (Mid/Senior-Level) to:
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine enterprise IT architecture to support modernization and compliance goals.
- Define and maintain current (“as‑is”) and future (“to‑be”) architecture states aligned with client objectives.
- Closely partner with program managers, engineers, and stakeholders to influence system design and integration.
- Evaluate, recommend, and guide adoption of emerging technologies to enhance innovation and operational efficiency.
- Participate in architecture governance and quality management activities.
- Support change control, scope management, and root cause analysis efforts.
- Develop and present technical documentation, briefings, and translate complex concepts for varied audiences.
- Identify and drive business process improvements, partnering with stakeholders to align technology solutions with user and mission needs.
- Ensure systems and architectures comply with organizational cybersecurity guidelines.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, providing strategic guidance and resolving complex architectural challenges.
- Contingent upon contract award.
Requirements
- 8+ years of related professional experience.
- Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance, granted by the US Government as needed, which requires US citizenship. The government also uses 13 adjudicative guidelines to determine an individual's eligibility.
- Understanding of government compliance, cybersecurity principles, IT modernization efforts, architecture frameworks (TOGAF, DoDAF, etc.), and modeling tools (Sparx EA, Visio, etc.).
- Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., NIST, Section 508) or quality frameworks (e.g., ISO, CMMI).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills paired with excellent communication and leadership skills for engaging technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Must be comfortable working onsite full‑time at Naval Station Norfolk or at a designated partner facility within the Norfolk, Hampton, or Virginia Beach area, pending final site establishment.
- Must be comfortable meeting DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF)/8140 requirements, obtaining professional certifications as required by the client/contract.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's of Science degree in a similar field/course of study and/or active professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+.
- Active DoD security clearance.
- TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar professional certifications.
- Prior experience with enterprise architecture modernization initiatives within federal/DoD environments.
