About The Role
Our Client is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead a large multi-year modernization effort. This high-impact, business-focused role is responsible for large-scale project coordination and will serve as the primary point of accountability for the executive steering committee. The Program Manager will work alongside two existing project managers who oversee interfaces/integrations and business rollout. In addition, the role includes managing the Live Scan project, which is currently in a critical phase and requires a proactive, assertive leader capable of engaging with the business team and driving progress. This position is not deeply technical but demands strong business project management expertise, executive stakeholder management, and the ability to motivate and direct project teams.
What You'll Do
- Lead and coordinate a large modernization effort over a 2-3 year implementation timeline, ensuring alignment with business objectives and executive priorities.
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for the executive steering committee, providing clear updates and managing expectations.
- Oversee and integrate the work of two existing project managers responsible for interfaces/integrations and business rollout, ensuring cohesive project execution.
- Manage projects, proactively addressing issues and assertively engaging with the business team to drive progress and resolve roadblocks.
- Facilitate effective communication between business stakeholders, project teams, and executive leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Monitor project risks, budgets, and timelines, implementing corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track.
- Replace outgoing project managers as needed and ensure smooth transitions for ongoing initiatives.
- Demonstrate strong leadership by motivating project teams, setting clear priorities, and holding all parties accountable for deliverables.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Require active PMP certification
- Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-year business projects
- Strong project coordination and executive stakeholder management skills, with the ability to serve as the primary point of contact for executive steering committees.
- Experience overseeing multiple project managers and integrating their workstreams for cohesive program delivery.
- Ability to lead with an assertive, proactive approach-capable of pushing back on stakeholders and driving accountability, especially in high-pressure project situations.
- Experience with project management tools; SmartSheet PPM experience is a plus, with willingness to support its implementation.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with a track record of facilitating alignment among diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate project teams, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
