Responsibilities
The Business Segment Manager Engineering/ Hydraulic is responsible for developing and implementing global business strategies for the Engineering/ Hydraulic business segment.
- Defining and managing specific business development projects for customers in the engineering/hydraulic industry; contributing market and application expertise to identify new business opportunities.
- Identifying strategic applications, components, and solutions (Best in Class) where CERATIZIT is particularly competitive in the engineering/hydraulic field, and continuously monitoring market trends, technological developments, and competitor strategies.
- Close collaboration with other business segments (e.g., Automotive), especially on technology- or customer-spanning applications and projects.
- Building and maintaining a close, trustworthy cooperation with sales organizations to achieve business development goals and to consistently obtain relevant market and customer information.
- Intensive collaboration with Product Management, Production, Marketing, and R&D to drive innovation and contribute sustainably to company success.
- Leading the team with a focus on strategic business opportunities.
Profile
- Completed university degree in engineering or a comparable technical field.
- Many years of professional experience in a position combining technical and commercial or sales-related requirements, ideally in engineering/hydraulic or the automotive sector.
- Proven experience in successfully leading interdisciplinary and international teams.
- Strong intercultural competence and the ability to navigate safely within a complex international environment across various hierarchical levels.
- Highly developed entrepreneurial thinking, strategic foresight, a clear “can-do” mentality, and a high willingness to travel (approx. 50%) to work closely with international sales organizations, customers, and other business partners.
