Business Systems Analyst

About

Under the direct supervision of Project Manager, analyze, elicit, elaborate, document, and transfer the business requirements of the customers to the IT department. Perform business analysis and requirements management during the design stages of the project using various advanced technologies.

Analyze user requirements, procedures and problems to automate processing and improve existing computer system. Perform systems analysis for improvement using various modeling techniques based upon planned resource usage. Formulate plans outlining steps required for programs using structured analysis in addition to preparing flowcharts and diagrams to convert project specifications into detailed instructions and logical steps for coding into languages processed by computers. Work on comprehensive reporting transformation initiative, overseeing the migration of legacy systems, significantly improving compliance and the accuracy of financial reporting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, external consultants and stakeholders to identify and resolve regulatory discrepancies, ensuring alignment with both global and regional reporting standards. Conduct workshops and requirement gathering sessions to document key reporting processes, financial adjustments and system workflows, ensuring all stakeholders’ needs are addressed. Review computer system capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations.

Experience

Experience must include: SVN, GIT, SQL Server, XML, JIRA, Confluence, Apache Tomcat, Oracle, MS Excel.

Minimum Requirements

• Master’s degree or a foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, CIS, Accounting Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering (Any) or related with 1 year of relevant IT experience as a Computer / Engineering Professional or related.
• In lieu of the above, will also accept a Bachelor’s degree or a foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, CIS, Accounting information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering (Any) or related with 5 years of progressive IT experience as a Computer / Engineering Professional or related.
• Any suitable combination of education, training, and experience is acceptable.
• Must be willing to work anywhere in the U.S.

Job locations in Hoboken, NJ & may involve relocation to various unanticipated client sites across the U.S.
