Business Systems Analyst – Mainframe (Credit Platform)

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders in credit operations, lending, and risk teams to capture requirements.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications for mainframe-based credit platforms.
• Work with COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS to maintain and enhance core mainframe applications.
• Support high-volume transaction systems (credit card processing, loan origination, POS, ATM).

Solution Design

• Collaborate with architects and developers to design scalable solutions for credit workflows.
• Ensure integration with APIs, modern applications, and digital banking channels.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Develop test cases, validate system changes, and coordinate UAT with business users.
• Provide L3 support for incidents, troubleshoot mainframe jobs, and ensure SLA compliance.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain system documentation, process flows, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards (OSFI, PCI-DSS).

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Technical Expertise: COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, MQ, and batch processing.
• Domain Knowledge: Credit platforms, lending systems, cards & payments, risk management.
• Business Analysis Skills: Requirement elicitation, gap analysis, process mapping, BRD/FRD creation.
• Tools: Jira, Confluence, HP ALM, MS Visio, Excel.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving.
• Experience: 5–8 years in mainframe systems, preferably within banking/credit platforms.
