Business Valuation Analyst (India)

Requirements

• already have a strong technical understanding of valuation work
• have a background in one or both of the following areas: independent valuation work for a firm, with a significant report-writing component or financial modelling or transaction advisory work in the energy and infrastructure sector
• have excellent research and analytical skills, combined with natural intellectual curiosity
• have first-rate written communication and report-writing skills
• be comfortable interpreting, sense-checking and running Excel-based financial models with 3-way financial statements or the ability to pick this up quickly
• enjoy working in a team environment and be naturally collaborative
• have a robust commitment to a career focused on the energy and infrastructure sector with the goal of becoming a sector expert over time
• be self-motivated, ambitious and hard working, driven by a passion to provide excellent client service (and an understanding of what this means).

Responsibilities

• Support on the delivery of valuation engagements.
• Analysing information received, identifying key valuation issues and raising questions with clients
• Sector research, including comparable companies and transactions, macro-economic trends, market developments and valuation benchmarks
• Analysing financial models, running sensitivities and performing valuation calculations
• Drafting sections of reports and, over time, leading on report writing for some projects
• Process support to ensure that projects are managed in accordance with Forvis Mazars’ quality and risk procedures
• Where required, also help to provide valuation support in the context of deal advisory work (for instance on the buy side) or to support our statutory audit teams.
