About
You are entering a technically modern environment and taking responsibility for the further development and migration of existing desktop solutions. You will work with C# and the .NET ecosystem as well as common desktop technologies such as WinUI 3, WPF or Windows Forms and will be involved in the design of sustainable software architectures. You will benefit from structured onboarding, clear development paths and opportunities for professional development. The role offers hybrid working models and the chance to actively participate in technical transformation projects.
Responsibilities
- Modernize existing desktop applications and implement migrations to current .NET platforms
- Analyze legacy applications, create migration concepts and lead the implementation
- Develop performant and user-friendly interfaces using XAML and modern UI patterns
- Design and document sustainable software architectures and design patterns
- Work closely with QA and DevOps to optimize build and release processes
- Accompany tests, code reviews and performance optimizations to ensure software quality
- Coordinate with internal interfaces from technology, purchasing and quality and support cross-departmental projects
Profile
- Several years of practical experience in C# development and with .NET-based environments
- Knowledge of desktop technologies (e.g., Windows Forms, WinUI, WPF) as well as XAML and MVVM approaches
- Experience with relational databases such as MSSQL, SQLite or MySQL and ideally basic DB2 knowledge
- Confident use of version control and build tools (e.g., Git, TFS) and familiarity with common UI component libraries
- Structured, independent way of working and the ability to work on projects independently after onboarding
- Very good German language skills (C1/C2) and solution-oriented communication within the team
