A top Semiconductor client of ours University Recruiting team partners with engineering programs across the country to support early‑career hiring through structured internship and co‑op programs ranging from 4 to 16 months. These programs rely on strong institutional relationships, accurate administration, and consistent follow-through. As the program continues to grow and scale, we’re looking for someone to take on day-to-day administration of building and furthering these connections.
The University Recruiter (Canada) is responsible for managing our client's university recruiting activity across Canadian co‑op and internship programs. This role serves as the primary point of contact for university co‑op and employer relations offices while partnering internally with hiring managers to deliver a reliable, conversion‑focused early‑career program.
What You Can Expect
- Manage end-to-end recruiting for Canadian co‑op and early‑career roles, including intake, posting, candidate coordination, offers, onboarding, evaluation and termination.
- Serve as the primary liaison with university co-op and employer relations offices, ensuring job postings, timelines, and requirements are met.
- Post roles into university recruiting systems and ensure postings align with program and academic requirements.
- Coordinate and track work term evaluations, documentation, and required reporting associated with co‑op participation.
- Partner with hiring managers to support a repeat hire and conversion‑focused early‑career program, including return placements across multiple terms.
- Support campus recruiting activities such as information sessions, interviews, and relationship building meetings with university stakeholders through direct partnership with technical leadership.
- Maintain accurate recruiting records and documentation in applicant tracking and internal systems.
- Communicate clearly with students, hiring teams, and university partners to ensure expectations and deadlines are consistently met.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 1 to 3 years of experience in university recruiting, early career recruiting or several years’ experience in co‑op program administration, employer relations, or a related field
- Experience working directly with universities, career services, or co-op offices
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a track record of juggling multiple deadlines while prioritizing various stakeholders
- Familiarity with various co-op job boards, ranking systems, and employer reporting
- Willingness and ability to travel within Canada during peak recruiting periods
Preferred Requirements
- Experience using applicant tracking systems or recruiting systems (Workday preferred)
- Exposure to technical or engineering early career hiring
