RecruitUp Global connects skilled South African talent with employers in Australia, with a focus on trades and agriculture. We build long-term partnerships, guide candidates through job readiness and relocation, and work closely with registered migration partners to make the journey smooth for everyone.

Duties & Responsibilities

You will own the candidate side of our pipeline from first hello to job offer, or dependant on experience, a full 360nrecruitment role. You’ll find, shortlist, onboard, support, and champion candidates who want to work in Australia or New Zealand, and you’ll keep our employer-facing teams stocked with great people to introduce to clients. If your experience alligns we will prvide you with the ability to phone into Australia and find and manage employers willling to sponsor South Africans.

What you’ll do

  • Source candidates daily through PNet, LinkedIn, Facebook groups and pages, referrals, colleges, webinars, and other online platforms
  • Shortlist and screen for eligibility, motivation, work ethic, and role fit across trades and agriculture
  • Be the first point of contact for applications from our website and job boards, responding quickly and professionally
  • Onboard candidates into our ATS/CRM, keep records accurate, and move each person through the pipeline
  • Create and post job ads with the employer-facing team on free and paid platforms
  • Schedule and confirm interviews, handle candidate queries, and keep everyone updated
  • Present weekly hotlists and new talent to the employer-facing teams, with clear notes on location, notice period, and readiness
  • Upsell helpful services such as skills assessments and professional CV creation where appropriate
  • Build local sourcing strategies in South Africa, including visits to relevant hubs and events when needed
  • Report on pipeline health and suggest improvements to speed up conversions

Desired Experience & Qualification

What you bring

  • 2+ years in recruitment, talent acquisition, staffing, or candidate operations (more required for full recruitment role)
  • Experience in international recruitment or immigration-linked processes is a strong advantage
  • Comfortable assessing eligibility basics and spotting red flags early
  • Clear, friendly communication in Afrikaans and English (written and spoken)
  • Strong admin habits and attention to detail
  • Confident with ATS/CRM systems (Zoho Recruit or similar), Excel or Google Sheets, and WhatsApp
  • Proactive, organized, and steady under pressure
  • Telesales/marketing or previous business development for full recruitment 360 role

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of trades or agriculture, or you grew up around farms or have hands-on exposure
  • Understanding of Australian or New Zealand hiring and sponsorship environments
  • Experience running webinars, info sessions, or campus outreach

Tools and setup

  • Your own computer or laptop, reliable internet, email, and WhatsApp
  • Comfortable working from home and collaborating with teams in Australia and New Zealand
  • Able to work some hours that overlap with Australian time zones for meetings

Package & Remuneration

Compensation and growth

  • Base salary plus commission, negotiated based on experience
  • Independent contractor arrangement: you must be self-employed and able to invoice monthly for salary and commissions
  • Clear path to build and lead a small team of Talent Acquisition Consultants, with department bonuses and commissions
