About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Card Systems IT Analyst to strengthen our international team. The ideal candidate has 3 to 6 years of experience in comparable roles and is comfortable operating at the intersection of business needs and technology delivery. You will be responsible for analysing card management workflows, defining functional and technical requirements, and supporting project teams throughout the entire delivery process, from initial scoping through to production, within a modern cloud‑native setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integrate into a DevOps working model, maintaining active collaboration with engineering teams throughout the software lifecycle
  • Manage application configurations using version control tools such as Git and Bitbucket
  • Support initiatives related to system monitoring, logging, quality assurance, and scalability
  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving issues affecting applications and infrastructure in distributed, cloud‑native environments
  • Gain familiarity with CI/CD pipeline structures and automation frameworks
  • Provide analytical support for the investigation and resolution of application incidents and production‑level issues
  • Work in close coordination with internal and third‑party development teams across build, testing, and release stages
  • Develop detailed technical artefacts including application specifications, integration flow diagrams, and data mapping documents
  • Contribute to the design and continuous improvement of microservices‑based solutions deployed in cloud environments
  • Interface regularly with internal stakeholders from Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Security functions
  • Elicit and formalise business needs, converting them into structured functional and technical documentation
  • Map and assess end‑to‑end card management workflows covering areas such as card issuance, lifecycle management, transaction authorisation, clearing and settlement, fraud prevention, and chargeback handling
  • Advise business units on IT solution design that aligns with operational, regulatory, and compliance requirements

What Are We Looking For?

  • 3 to 6 years of professional experience in IT analysis, preferably within the banking or financial services sector
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Working knowledge of: DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines, Git / GitHub, microservices architectures, Kafka or equivalent event streaming platforms, Change Data Capture (CDC), PostgreSQL, Java, monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace)
  • Solid understanding of credit and debit card payment systems and their underlying architectures
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage multiple stakeholders effectively
  • Excellent written and spoken Italian and English (mandatory); German or French is considered a plus
  • Familiarity with cloud environments, with preference for Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage complexity
  • Strong analytical mindset and structured approach to problem‑solving
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
