About
Do you have experience in category management and understand the dynamics of FMCG categories? Do you think data-driven, act entrepreneurially, and know how to successfully manage and develop assortments in e-commerce? Then take responsibility for an exciting FMCG portfolio in a highly dynamic market environment.
In this role, you will actively shape your categories with a direct impact on revenue, margin, competitiveness, and growth.
You will work on the levers that really count in the fast-moving consumer goods business: assortment, price, availability, market trends, and strong supplier relationships.
Your Tasks
- You are responsible for the strategic and operational management and further development of your FMCG categories
- You analyze market, competitor, assortment, and performance data and derive concrete measures for revenue and margin optimization
- You identify trends, growth potential, and relevant market opportunities within your categories and develop suitable assortment strategies
- You independently manage and develop cooperation with manufacturers, brands, and suppliers
- You evaluate products, assortments, and category potentials from economic and customer-oriented perspectives
- You develop new concepts for the expansion, optimization, and positioning of the product portfolio
- Together with internal interfaces, you ensure availability, competitiveness, and process quality along the entire value chain
What You Bring
- You have successfully completed a degree with an economic focus or have completed a commercial apprenticeship with further training
- You have at least 2 years of professional experience in purchasing, category management, or product management, ideally in the FMCG sector
- You have sound e-commerce experience and understand how to successfully manage fast-moving assortments in online retail
- You work analytically, data-driven, and at the same time with a good feel for market movements, consumer trends, and customer needs
- You have a strong understanding of numbers and think entrepreneurially with a focus on revenue, margin, and growth
- You convince with a structured, independent, and results-oriented way of working
- You bring strong communication skills, assertiveness, and high initiative
- Initial experience with Amazon FBA or additional knowledge in the marketplace or e-commerce environment is an advantage
- Very good German and English skills (min. C1)
