About the role
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and safety‑conscious CE Facility Support Engineer - Electrical 3 to join our dynamic data center operations team. This role is critical in maintaining and supporting electrical infrastructure across a diverse datacenter campus, ensuring high availability and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all tasks outlined in the CE Tech Level 1 and Level 2 role descriptions.
- Support and maintain electrical infrastructure across large‑capacity and multi‑facility datacenter campuses.
- Operate and troubleshoot Building Management Systems (EPMS).
- Execute Remote Power Panel (RPP) shutdowns of one source while maintaining critical load through the “N” source.
- Conduct Power Distribution Unit (PDU) shutdowns for power meter replacements.
- Perform Power Interruption Testing (PIT) and master controller shutdowns or replacements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure electrical systems meet operational and safety standards.
- Maintain compliance with the National Electrical Code and internal safety protocols.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of applied experience in technical fields such as automotive, electrical, controls, or data center operations.
- OSHA or OSHA‑approved NFPA 70E Certification.
- Experience working with electrical systems in high availability environments (e.g., data centers, hospitals, oil & gas refineries, pharmaceutical, manufacturing).
- Basic proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Ability to work flexible schedules including 12‑hour shifts and rotating work weeks.
Preferred
- Previous experience in datacenter environments.
- Designation as a Qualified Electrical Worker.
- Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code.
