Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and credentialed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to provide robust accounting, financial reporting, and audit support services. This role involves ensuring that financial statements and operations align with standards established by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), and other regulatory bodies. This role is contingent upon SOAR receiving a contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and provide quality control support for quarterly and year-end financial statements, footnotes, and reports.
  • Recalculate financial numbers and verify that financial amounts presented tie directly to the Trial Balance, financial statement crosswalks, schedules, and source documents.
  • Manage and review "Provided by Client" (PBC) deliverables for accuracy and completeness prior to their submission to external auditors.
  • Perform extensive review procedures over audit samples, verifying that supporting documentation (such as contracts, purchase orders, or invoices) agrees with the sample selection.
  • Provide technical accounting and audit expertise to confidently address auditor inquiries and follow-ups.

  • Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • 3 to 5 years of combined working knowledge of accounting practices and the requirements of accounting standards established by the FASB. (Note: The Board's specific baseline requirement for a CPA on this contract strictly mandates at least 5 years of experience.)
  • Experience in performing financial accounting and reporting services, including examining, preparing, and verifying financial records to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the core requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX).
