Our client, a reputable non-profit organization, is seeking a passionate and experienced Charity Program Manager to lead impactful initiatives in Benoni, Gauteng, ZA. This role requires a dedicated individual committed to making a tangible difference in the community. You will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and oversight of various charitable programs, ensuring they meet their objectives and align with the organization's mission. Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and execute strategic program plans that address identified community needs.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned charitable programs, ensuring efficient resource allocation and delivery.
- Monitor program progress, evaluate outcomes, and produce regular reports on impact and performance for stakeholders and donors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with beneficiaries, community partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Lead fundraising efforts and grant writing initiatives to secure financial support for programs.
- Manage program budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and compliance with funding requirements.
- Recruit, train, and supervise program staff and volunteers.
- Develop and implement outreach strategies to increase community awareness and participation in programs.
- Ensure programs adhere to all legal requirements, ethical standards, and organizational policies.
- Identify potential risks and challenges to program success and develop mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote program successes and stories.
- Organize and facilitate community events, workshops, and meetings related to program activities.
- Contribute to the overall strategic direction and development of the organization.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Public Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, preferably within the non-profit or charity sector.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex programs from inception to completion.
- Demonstrated experience in fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations.
- Strong understanding of community development principles and social issues.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
