Mission Context
Within the Infrastructure team, the Project Manager will take charge of a portfolio of varied technical projects (infrastructure, virtualization, storage, application deployments). The mission takes place on-site in Saclay, in a sensitive environment requiring a Top Secret Defense clearance.
- Location: Saclay (personal vehicle required)
- Remote Work: 1 day / week
- Availability: Occasional interventions during non-standard hours
Responsibilities
Project Portfolio Management
- Manage 10 to 20 simultaneous projects, ranging from 5 to 200 days.
- Prioritize actions based on urgency, impact, and operational constraints.
- Ensure the overall coherence of the portfolio.
Scoping & Planning
- Participate in scoping with stakeholders (technical, production, security, client).
- Estimate costs, draft commitment contracts, and work packages.
- Build and maintain the detailed schedule, WBS, and milestones.
Operational Monitoring & Management
- Track progress, identify deviations, and initiate action plans.
- Manage risks and dependencies for each project.
- Lead progress meetings (weekly, project committees).
- Monitor the activities of internal and external resources.
- Produce dashboards and reports for management.
Technical Implementation & Coordination
- Manage deployment operations: servers, applications, infrastructure components.
- Coordinate major updates:
- ESX farms,
- Citrix environments,
- SAN/NAS storage.
- Supervise massive data transfers (SAN/NAS).
- Ensure production deployment in compliance with ITIL processes.
Quality Control & Delivery
- Validate technical and documentary deliverables.
- Assist with billing for work packages and milestones.
- Monitor project profitability and contractual compliance.
Communication & Relationship Management
- Maintain excellent relationships with internal teams, technical experts, and the client.
- Write clear, precise, and actionable reports.
- Ensure fluid and proactive communication.

Candidate Profile
The candidate has solid experience in infrastructure project management, perfectly aligned with the job requirements. Accustomed to simultaneously managing a significant portfolio of technical projects, they master prioritization, operational monitoring, risk management, and leading steering committees. Their expertise covers the entire project lifecycle: scoping, workload estimation, WBS construction, resource management, management reporting, and deliverable validation.
They possess a strong ITIL culture and proven experience in coordinating complex technical deployments: major infrastructure updates, operations on ESX, Citrix, SAN/NAS, backups, as well as supervising production deployments in critical environments. Their technical background allows them to communicate effectively with systems, network, virtualization, and storage teams.
The candidate also stands out for their interpersonal skills, ability to work in a sensitive environment, and ease in producing clear and actionable reports. Accustomed to secure environments and strong operational constraints, they fully meet the requirements of the Saclay site, including occasional availability during non-standard hours and Top Secret Defense clearance.
