About the Role

As a Project Manager - Plant, you will be the primary point of contact between the plant and the "Front Office", responsible for ensuring order execution from reception at the plant to shipment while providing updates based on information from various stakeholders. You will work collaboratively with the "Front" and "Back Office" to mitigate risks while ensuring efficient cost management, thereby promoting profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Principal point of contact for the "Front Office" (proactively communicate with the "Front Office" to raise obstacles to order execution according to the "CPP")
  • Perform technical review based on submission, client specifications, and applicable standards.
  • Plan projects at the plant level.
  • Ensure project execution at the plant and adherence to deadlines.
  • Coordinate meetings with plant stakeholders to track order progress (Planning, engineering, procurement, assembly, testing, packaging).
  • Identify, mitigate, record, communicate, and track execution and cost-related risks throughout the project.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and engineering to resolve delays or missing parts issues (BO, substitutions, acceptable deviations).
  • Analyze "Change Orders" and evaluate and mitigate their impact on costs and deadlines.
  • Plan, coordinate, and lead witnessed tests.
  • Ensure project profitability by controlling costs.

  • B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, IGEE program an asset.
  • Member in good standing of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec an asset.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in project management, planning, risk management, and budgeting.
  • Hands-on experience with Windchill, Symmetry, BFO, MS Project, Jira, Trello, Asana, Primavera, SAP, etc. (an asset).
  • Functional team management to streamline project processing.
  • Knowledge of low voltage distribution required and medium voltage (an asset).
  • Knowledge of applicable standards and codes (ANSI/IEEE, CSA, HQ, etc.) for low and/or medium voltage distribution equipment.
  • Excellent ability to interpret technical documents.
