Chief Engineer, Software Development ๐ฐ Salary: $120,000 - 160,000 per year

๐ Rquirements: - Bachelors degree in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering - A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering services related to emergency response and deployable infrastructure - Demonstrated experience supporting critical systems in emergency scenarios - U.S. citizenship is mandatory - Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Secret clearance, based on customer requirements - Preferred: 10 years of experience along with a Professional Engineer (PE) license - Preferred: 7 years specifically in emergency response or mission-critical operations - Preferred: Masters degree in engineering, emergency management, public health, or similar field - Preferred: Knowledge of federal emergency response frameworks like HHS, FEMA, DoD, USACE, and DHS
๐ฉโ๐ป๐จโ๐ป Your responsibilities are: - Provide leadership and technical oversight across all engineering functions that bolster SOSis emergency response capabilities - Supervise design, maintenance, testing, and operational readiness of deployable infrastructure including mobile medical units and field hospitals - Ensure all technical systems are kept in a state of readiness for mission deployment through rigorous maintenance and inspections - Manage engineering support initiatives for emergency deployments, coordinating with logistics and medical teams - Drive the integration of innovative technologies and modern solutions to bolster operational efficiency - Evaluate new technologies pertinent to field operations and oversee testing and validation of engineering systems - Serve as the chief engineering liaison with various governmental and private-sector partners, ensuring effective collaboration - Ensure adherence to federal engineering standards and safety regulations, while managing documentation and risk assessments - Oversee engineering budgets, procurement, and contractor performance related to technical support - Mentor engineering staff and foster a culture of safety, accountability, and innovation within the team
