Role Overview
The Divisional CFO will be responsible for the full financial and strategic oversight of multiple subsidiaries. This includes partnering with leadership to drive performance, ensuring compliance, and supporting sustainable growth across the group.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Partner with the CEO and Board to define and execute strategy
- Provide financial insights to support decision-making and growth
- Drive expansion, restructuring, and investment initiatives
Financial Management and Reporting
- Oversee group budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Ensure accurate and timely consolidated reporting
- Present financial results to the Board and shareholders
Regulatory Compliance and Governance
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies including South African Revenue Service and Companies and Intellectual Property Commission
- Maintain strong corporate governance and internal controls
- Oversee audit processes and risk frameworks
Treasury and Capital Management
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital
- Optimise capital structure (debt and equity)
- Lead funding, refinancing, and banking relationships
Tax and Risk Management
- Oversee tax planning and compliance
- Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks
- Ensure compliance with relevant South African legislation
Mergers, Acquisitions and Investments
- Lead M&A strategy, due diligence, and execution
- Evaluate investments and strategic partnerships
- Drive post-deal integration and value creation
Transformation, ESG and Sustainability
- Support Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment objectives
- Lead ESG and sustainability reporting initiatives
- Align business practices with transformation goals
Leadership and People Management
- Lead and develop the finance function across multiple entities
- Drive strong financial discipline and governance
- Support talent development and succession planning
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CA(SA) or SAIPA qualification preferred
- Minimum 10 years’ finance experience
- At least 5 years in an executive leadership role (CFO/FD level)
- Experience within group or multi-entity structures
- Exposure to large private or listed environments advantageous
- Experience in African or international markets beneficial

Additional Information
- Based in Gauteng
