Chief Financial Officer

About

This position is suited to a qualified Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 10 years progressive post article experience. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in financial management, reporting at board/shareholder level, compliance, operational finance, oversight of warehousing and inventory, procurement and supply-chain management in a project-based environment with a high volume of customers and contracts.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Chief Financial Officer will be a senior leader responsible for the financial operations, governance and reporting.

• Financial and management reporting to board
• General finance operations
• Accountable for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, budgeting, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis
• ESG, B-BBEE, and sustainability reporting and compliance in line with regulatory and stakeholder expectations
• Prepare the annual tax pack
• Main point of contact with auditors
• Working capital management
• Work closely with operations teams to implement and monitor standard operating procedures for warehouses nationally
• Inventory Management, stock levels, stock movements, etc
• Lead supplier relationships, including pricing, contracts, and performance
• Procurement strategy and processes
• Partner with sales and commercial teams
• Drive different initiatives and deliver on business objectives

Desired Experience and Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (SA) / CA(SA) is essential
• 10+ years progressive post article experience
• Experienced leading finance, operations and human resources teams
• Experience managing ESG, B‑BBEE, and audit requirements within the South African regulatory framework
• Governance and reporting
• Experience with national operations for a manufacturing or industrial project-based environment

Package and Remuneration

R 2 100 000 – R 2 200 000 per annum
