Chief Software Architect

Roles and Responsibilities: • Design, implement, and maintain distributed, cloud-native services on Kubernetes. • Develop software using Java, Kotlin, .NET, TypeScript/JavaScript, ensuring high code quality. • Architect and operate AWS workloads, focusing on services like EKS, EC2, IAM, VPC, and Lambda. • Implement observability using tools such as OpenTelemetry, New Relic, Prometheus, and OpenSearch. • Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Pulumi and Crossplane. • Use Argo Workflows and ArgoCD for deployment orchestration and automation. • Contribute to architectural decisions and design reviews. • Develop secure, high-performance microservices and containerized applications. • Participate in incident response and contribute to SRE practices. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and drive projects to completion. • Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices. • Work effectively in Agile environments throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Skills Required: • Expertise in cloud-native service development and Kubernetes orchestration • Strong programming skills in Java, Kotlin, TypeScript, and JavaScript • Experience architecting and operating AWS workloads (EKS, EC2, IAM, VPC, Lambda) • Knowledge of observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, New Relic, Prometheus, and OpenSearch • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Pulumi and Crossplane • Familiarity with Argo Workflows and ArgoCD for deployment automation • Ability to design secure, high-performance microservices and containerized applications • Experience participating in incident response and SRE practices • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies • Excellent mentorship, collaboration, and communication skills • Ability to contribute to architectural decisions and design reviews Education: • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or • Master's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience
