🚀 We’re Hiring | Head of Engineering

We are looking for a visionary and experienced Head of Engineering to lead and scale our engineering operations in India. This strategic leadership role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, engineering management, and business alignment to drive innovation and deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SDLC methodologies, cloud‑native architectures, and modern technology stacks, along with proven experience in building and managing large, high‑performing engineering teams in rapid‑paced environments.

Responsibilities

Engineering Leadership & Strategy

• Define and execute engineering strategy aligned with global business objectives
• Build, scale, and lead engineering teams across multiple domains (50+ members)
• Establish engineering standards, best practices, and governance frameworks
• Drive a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with global stakeholders to ensure alignment and delivery excellence

Technical Excellence & Architecture

• Oversee the complete SDLC from requirements to deployment and maintenance
• Architect scalable, secure, and high‑performance distributed systems
• Drive technical decisions across architecture, infrastructure, and technology stack
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security practices, and quality benchmarks
• Champion DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation initiatives
• Lead adoption of cloud‑native architectures (GCP preferred) and microservices

People Management & Team Growth

• Recruit, mentor, and retain top engineering talent
• Conduct performance reviews, feedback sessions, and career development planning
• Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high‑performance work environment
• Promote knowledge sharing, innovation, and cross‑functional collaboration
• Drive leadership development within engineering teams

Delivery & Operations

• Ensure timely delivery of high‑quality engineering projects and products
• Manage engineering budgets, capacity planning, and resource allocation
• Define and track engineering KPIs, metrics, and performance benchmarks
• Improve operational efficiency through process optimization and automation
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate progress effectively

Must‑Have Skills

• 15+ years of experience in software engineering with 8+ years in leadership roles
• Proven experience managing and scaling large engineering teams (50+ members)
• Deep understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and modern software architecture
• Strong experience with tech stacks such as Java, Python, Node.Js, React, or similar
• Hands‑on expertise in cloud platforms (GCP preferred), microservices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and system design
• Experience in high‑growth product‑based or SaaS environments
