Civil Engineer / Technologist

Exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineer / Technologist with water, bulkwater and treatment plants experience

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assistance with technical advancement and business development by pursuing technical excellence and maintaining quality assurance on projects.
• Undertake water, wastewater and treatment feasibility or planning studies, including report compilation.
• Coordinate and manage statutory approval processes for water and wastewater projects;
• Undertake technical designs compile reports for water, wastewater and treatment projects.
• Providing project information and assistance to enable effective project management.
• Carrying out measurements and valuations to assist with producing accurate project cost estimates, schedules, quantities and valuations at various stages of a project.
• Compile project specifications and contract documentation for water, wastewater and treatment projects.
• Support or manage construction contract with focus on quality assurance for civil and mechanical installations.
• Continue and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of statutory procedures and technical standards and apply or implement such requirements where necessary.
• Work independently and be self-motivated, but also function well in a team environment.
• Good communication and inter-personal skills required to build and maintain client relations and team moral.
• Integrate and cooperate with other engineering and non-engineering disciplines.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• BEng or BTech in Civil Engineering
• Candidates must have least three years' experience in bulk water, water treatment and/or wastewater treatment works.
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D or Revit will be beneficial
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
