🚧 Now Hiring: Civil Engineering Project Manager (Land Development) – Fredericksburg, VA (Hybrid)
📍 Location
- Fredericksburg, VA (in‑office with hybrid flexibility)
🔹 What You’ll Do
Project Management & Delivery
- Lead land development projects (public, residential, commercial, mixed‑use) from proposal to closeout
- Develop scopes, proposals, schedules, and contracts
- Manage permitting, agency coordination, RFIs, and submittals
- Keep projects on track—scope, schedule, and quality
Technical Leadership
- Design and review site development plans (grading, stormwater, utilities, erosion & sediment control) using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Oversee QA/QC and ensure compliance with VDOT, DEQ, and local standards
- Guide engineers through design challenges and production
Team Leadership
- Mentor and develop junior engineers
- Delegate effectively and set clear expectations
- Lead project kickoff meetings and internal coordination
Client & Business Development
- Serve as the primary client contact
- Build long‑term relationships and identify growth opportunities
- Represent the firm at meetings, hearings, and industry events
Financial Oversight
- Manage budgets, utilization, and project performance
- Handle invoicing, change orders, and accounts receivable
🔹 What You Bring
- B.S. in Civil Engineering (or related field)
- EIT required; PE preferred (or ability to obtain within 12–18 months)
- 7+ years of experience in land development engineering
- 2+ years managing projects and teams
- Strong experience with Virginia site development, permitting, and regulations
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Hydraflow, Storm Sewer, WaterCAD
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and deadlines
