Civil Engineering Project Manager in Pittsburgh, PA
• Direct Hire with hybrid work arrangement (1 remote day/week; optional 9/80 schedule with every other Friday or Monday off)
• Base salary range: $135,000.00+ (commensurate with experience)
We’re looking for an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead design engineering projects from concept through completion. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a client-facing leadership position and enjoys driving projects forward while mentoring teams and maintaining high-quality standards.
What you’ll be doing:
• Lead and manage multidisciplinary design teams across engineering projects
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships
• Develop, manage, and forecast project budgets and schedules
• Coordinate internal teams, subconsultants, and external stakeholders
• Oversee technical deliverables, ensuring quality and adherence to QA procedures
• Lead meetings, presentations, and proposal development efforts
• Review and approve invoices, design changes, and project documentation
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and team development
What you bring:
• BS in Civil Engineering
• PE license required
• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience
• Strong background in highway and/or structural design
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills
• Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and proposal development
