Our team is hiring a CESE Manager and Warehouse Support Services for the Navy Medical Readiness Logistics Command (NMRLC) in Williamsburg, VA.

Role Overview

The CESE Manager provides oversight and management of material-handling equipment (MHE), vehicles, and support equipment used in warehouse and logistics operations that support Expeditionary Medical Systems (EXMEDS). This position is responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and mission‑ready operation, availability, and accountability of government‑furnished and contractor‑managed equipment used to support operational readiness.

The Equipment Manager plays a critical role in coordinating equipment usage, operator support, and lifecycle management across warehouse, logistics, and maintenance activities. This role ensures equipment resources are aligned with workload priorities, safety requirements, and operational timelines in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee day‑to‑day use, availability, and readiness of material handling equipment and vehicles supporting warehouse and logistics operations
  • Coordinate and prioritize equipment support for receiving, staging, stowage, re‑warehousing, platform stow, and movement of equipment and materiel
  • Ensure safe and compliant operation of forklifts, MHE, and support vehicles by authorized personnel
  • Oversee pre‑operation, preventive maintenance coordination, and condition reporting for equipment and vehicles.
  • Identify equipment discrepancies, safety concerns, or operational limitations and coordinate corrective actions
  • Support preparation of equipment and materiel for storage, issue, transport, or deployment activities
  • Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and maintenance personnel to align equipment support with workflow requirements
  • Maintain accountability for equipment, tools, and vehicles in accordance with established procedures
  • Promote safe work practices and maintain orderly equipment staging and operating areas
  • Support documentation, reporting, and informal tracking of equipment status and utilization

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing or supervising equipment operations in a warehouse, logistics, industrial, or comparable operational environment
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing the use of equipment supporting the movement of large, heavy, or specialized loads
  • Working knowledge of material handling equipment operations, safety practices, and warehouse workflows

Required Certifications and Licenses

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Class A endorsement
  • Experience operating standard transmission vehicles and vehicles with trailer endorsement
  • Ability to obtain certification to oversee and/or operate 4,000–30,000 lb forklifts and other material handling equipment

Security Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License; All NMRLC contractor employees must be U.S. citizens and maintain a favorable federal suitability determination (typically NACI with SF‑85/SF‑85P) sufficient to obtain and retain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC) for installation, system, and facility access.
  • Continued eligibility is required throughout contract performance, and loss of CAC or suitability status may result in removal from the contract.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting warehouse or equipment operations within a government, DoD, or logistics environment
  • Familiarity with structured warehouse workflows, staging areas, and platform stow operations
  • Experience supporting operational or deployment‑driven equipment movement
  • Prior experience coordinating equipment readiness for medical, expeditionary, or contingency operations

Preferred Skills

  • Strong coordination and prioritization skills in fast‑paced warehouse environments
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, surge requirements, and mission‑driven timelines
  • Working knowledge of equipment safety standards, material handling practices, and operational risk mitigation
  • Effective communication skills when coordinating with operators, logistics staff, and maintenance personnel
