Civil Engineering Technologist

Responsibilities

• Design civil services for municipal, commercial, and industrial developments
• Deliver technical designs for roads, stormwater, sewer, water services, ducting, and bulk earthworks
• Prepare Bills of Quantities and technical specifications in line with SANS standards
• Conduct site inspections and chair site meetings
• Perform contract administration and construction monitoring
• Prepare as‑built drawings and close‑out reports
• Engage with clients and contribute innovative, cost‑effective engineering solutions

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in municipal infrastructure and building environment projects
• Exposure to both greenfield and brownfield developments
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil Designer
• Confident client communicator and problem solver
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables under pressure
• Access to own vehicle for site visits

Qualification

• BTech in Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineering Technologist (PrTechEng), or eligible to register within 12 months
