We are seeking an experienced Civil (Structural) Engineer to join our growing team.

Position Overview

This senior-level position involves structural design leadership, project coordination, construction administration, and client interaction across multiple simultaneous projects. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative consulting environment requiring strong technical expertise, organization, and communication skills.

Applicants must currently reside in Saskatchewan or be willing to relocate to Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.

Key Responsibilities

• Structural design of concrete, masonry, wood, and steel structures
• Preparation of engineering calculations, reports, and specifications
• Structural analysis and computer modelling
• Coordination with architects, owners, contractors, and consultants
• Site inspections and construction administration
• Participation in feasibility studies, proposals, and project planning
• Management of multiple concurrent projects and deadlines
• Collaboration with drafting technologists using BIM workflows.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Civil Engineering (Structural specialization)
• Minimum 10 years structural engineering experience
• Minimum 5 years Canadian consulting experience
• Registered (or eligible for registration) with APEGS.
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Demonstrated experience in building structural design.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities

Technical Requirements

Experience with the following is required:

• Structural design of concrete, masonry, wood, and steel structures
• Structural software applications including:
  • S-Frame
  • SAFE
  • S-Steel
  • Concise Beam
• AutoCAD proficiency (essential)
• Working knowledge of REVIT
• Architectural drafting and general computer proficiency

Work Environment

Prakash Consulting Ltd. operates in a fast-paced consulting environment where engineers manage multiple projects involving inspections, reporting, design, proposals, and client coordination simultaneously.

Relocation to Prince Albert, Saskatchewan is required for this position.
