Job Summary
The Client requires Clinical Business Analysts (CBA) – Medical Imaging to support the Clinical Information Solution (CIS) Program. The role encompasses activities to develop clinical standards and implement the CIS. The primary focus is to support creation and implementation of standard order sets, documentation templates and workflows used by clinicians. The CBA will work closely with SMEs, stakeholders and other team members to gather business requirements, design standards, and serve as a subject‑matter expert on the impact of digitization on design of content, workflows and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Clinical Team Lead and Project Manager to gather and define business and system requirements, conduct gap analysis, develop design documents, facilitate engagement sessions, build, validate and test clinical content in the CIS, and maintain relationships with business lines to align requirements.
- Collaborate with clinical experts to gather input for development and refinement of clinical standards.
- Design and facilitate sessions to validate existing requirements and collect new business and IT requirements, including gap analysis.
- Create and maintain detailed process and solution documentation, including workflows, use cases, user guides, and training materials, to ensure seamless adoption of clinical standards.
- Conduct analysis of business and client requirements to support development, operations and deployment of the clinical standardization project; recommend and implement solutions and monitor effectiveness.
- Build, validate and test clinical content in the CIS.
- Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure smooth delivery and implementation, including effective communication plans for stakeholders.
Requirements
- University degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, Information Technology, or equivalent combination.
- Demonstrated experience as a Clinical Business Analyst / Clinical Informatics Analyst (or equivalent) responsible for Medical Imaging and Diagnostic Services requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, use case analysis, business process analysis, detailed design activities, and documentation (last 10 years).
- Experience working with Health Information Systems (EHR/CIS) and healthcare operations related to Medical Imaging and Diagnostic Services.
- Experience as a Business Analyst/Clinical Informatics Analyst in health information systems/CIS implementation projects, including similar scale projects related to Medical Imaging and Diagnostic Services.
- Experience with computerized provider order entry (CPOE), order sets, clinical documentation, ancillary services (Pharmacy, Medical Imaging, Laboratory).
- Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills in French and English (preferred).
- Facilitation skills: leading workshops with healthcare providers to identify and articulate business and system requirements.
- Strong self‑direction, interpersonal skills, and ability to engage with project members, SMEs and stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to multi‑task across multiple projects and activities.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Teams).
- Experience using Atlassian JIRA in a project/work environment.
- Previous experience within public health authorities, demonstrating understanding of public healthcare landscape, policies and practices.
