About the Role
We are seeking a Clinical Engineer to support the development of an innovative AI-driven surgical platform.
This is a highly cross-functional role at the intersection of engineering and clinical practice. You will collaborate closely with product, software, hardware, marketing, and quality teams to ensure clinical needs are effectively translated into product development and validation activities.
What You’ll Do
Drive clinical insights
- Conduct clinical research to support product development and exploration of new clinical applications
- Translate clinical needs into actionable insights for cross-functional teams
Lead hands-on evaluations
- Plan and execute cadaver labs and benchtop testing for early-stage designs
- Analyse data to support product validation and commercial activities
Collaborate with end users
- Design and run usability studies with surgeons and healthcare professionals
- Gather feedback and ensure it informs product improvements
Support product development
- Evaluate software and hardware features in simulated and clinical environments
- Conduct on-site observations to better understand clinical workflows
Ensure safety and compliance
- Perform use-related risk analyses and contribute to regulatory documentation
- Write protocols, reports, and ensure adherence to quality standards
Develop training and documentation
- Create training materials and product documentation using tools such as Figma, Canva, Adobe, and Microsoft Office
What We’re Looking For
Education
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Experience
- Internship or early experience in medical devices, healthcare, or biomedical research
- Experience working with clinicians or in hospital environments is a plus
Languages
- Fluent in English and French
Travel
- Approximately 10% travel on average, with occasional periods up to 40%
Skills
- Strong analytical mindset and scientific approach
- Understanding of the medical device development lifecycle
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills
- Familiarity with US and EU regulatory pathways is a plus
