Opening

  • Position: Clinical Recruiter
  • Shift: 1st Shift – Monday to Friday 8 am – 4:30 pm, with the ability to flex the work schedule on evenings, weekends and holidays as needed to meet the operational needs of the Human Resources department.
  • Location: Hattie Larlham Center for Children with Disabilities – Mantua, OH
  • Travel: Frequent travel within the state of Ohio is required. May involve out‑of‑state travel as directed by the Talent Acquisition Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of recruitment experience, including at least two (2) years recruiting clinical professionals in a healthcare and/or Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) environment
  • Strong working knowledge of clinical roles and job functions, licensure and credentialing requirements, and healthcare workforce trends
  • Hands‑on experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment metrics/analytics
  • Proven public speaking and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both small and large groups across diverse age ranges and backgrounds
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and time‑management skills; highly self‑motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office / Office 365
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior clinical experience (RN, LPN, or RRT, etc.)
  • Non‑profit recruiting experience
  • Recruiting certifications (PHR, SHRM‑CP, AIRS)
  • Familiarity with medical terminology

Duties

  • Partner with hiring managers and department leadership to assess staffing needs, anticipate turnover, and develop targeted recruitment plans for assigned departments.
  • Lead full‑cycle recruitment for clinical and allied health roles (RN, LPN, RRT, SLP, PT, OT), including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer coordination.
  • Develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies using job boards, social media, professional networks, school partnerships, and recruitment events to build strong candidate pipelines.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vocational schools, colleges, universities, and clinical training programs; serve as liaison for career fairs, classroom presentations, and outreach activities.
  • Manage candidate screening and selection processes, including application review, interviews, background checks, licensure verification, reference checks, and regulatory compliance.
  • Extend contingent employment offers and coordinate internal transfers in alignment with organizational policies and approval guidelines.
  • Coordinate pre‑employment processes and onboarding activities, including drug screens, fingerprinting, New Hire Orientation scheduling, and HR documentation.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment data, vacancy reports, and hiring metrics within the applicant tracking system to support compliance, reporting, and workforce planning.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
