ABOUT THE ROLE
The Cloud Account Executive for Slack will drive transformative change for customers across the Africa market. You will solve business challenges, influence change, and deliver exceptional customer experiences while driving new and existing business within an aligned vertical.
MAIN DUTIES
Key duties include building strategic relationships and managing the end-to-end sales cycle: • Strategic Engagement: Build trusted relationships with senior business leaders across the Africa Market, identifying critical challenges and positioning Slack as the solution to drive transformation. • Sales Execution: Own the full sales cycle—from prospecting and pipeline generation through negotiation and close. Navigate complex sales cycles with multi-stakeholder buying groups, including C-suite executives. • Internal Collaboration: Partner closely with Salesforce Core Account Executives to co-sell and unlock new Slack opportunities. Collaborate with Solution Engineers, Customer Success, and partners to deliver tailored solutions. • Commercial Leadership: Lead commercial discussions, including pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and value articulation. Develop compelling business cases showcasing impact on productivity and efficiency.
What Success Looks Like • Quota Achievement: Achieving an annual quota of $1M+ through strategic deals and multi-product sales. • Pipeline Health: Generating and managing a healthy sales pipeline with consistent progression and accurate forecasting.
REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for results-driven SaaS sales professionals who thrive on solving business challenges: • Professional Experience: Proven success as a quota-carrying SaaS sales professional with a track record of meeting and exceeding targets. Experience in complex, multi-stakeholder sales is required. • Strategic Selling: Strong ability to articulate value propositions tailored to enterprise needs and a track record of engaging C-level executives. • Regional Expertise: Experience selling across the continent of Africa is highly valued and will set you apart. • Industry Knowledge: Experience selling collaboration, productivity, or enterprise software solutions is highly preferred. • Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
