We are looking for a Cloud Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain automation that connects cloud infrastructure, SaaS platforms, and internal systems. This role is hands-on and execution-focused, working primarily in AWS, with some Azure, using Python and PowerShell to automate workflows, integrations, and operational tasks.

This is not a traditional DevOps or application development role. Success in this position comes from being comfortable writing “glue code,” working with APIs and webhooks, and improving operational efficiency through smart automation.

It is an in-office role and reports to IT Infrastructure Manager.

A Day in the Life

• Design and implement automation across Local, AWS and Azure environments
• Develop and maintain Python and PowerShell scripts used in production
• Build and support integrations between cloud platforms and SaaS tools (e.g., via APIs, webhooks, Zapier, or similar automation platforms)
• Automate routine IT and cloud operational tasks to improve reliability and efficiency
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to identify automation opportunities
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve existing automation workflows
• Document automation patterns, scripts, and operational procedures

What We Are Seeking

• 3+ years experience in cloud, systems, or automation-focused engineering roles
• Strong experience with AWS (core services, IAM, automation, monitoring)
• Working knowledge of Azure (infrastructure or platform services)
• Hands-on experience writing Python for automation (not just data analysis)
• Strong PowerShell scripting experience in real-world environments
• Experience integrating systems using REST APIs, webhooks, and authentication mechanisms
• Familiarity with automation or integration tools such as Zapier, Logic Apps, or similar platforms
• Comfortable working in an IT operations or platform engineering environment

Useful Information:

What This Role Is (and Isn’t)

This role is:

• Automation-first
• Cloud-focused
• Hands-on scripting and integration work
• Operationally impactful

This role is not:

• A pure software development role
• Limited to CI/CD pipelines
• RPA-focused or low-code only

Nice to have:

• Infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, etc.)
• Experience supporting SaaS-heavy enterprise environments
• Background in systems administration or IT operations
• Understanding of security and identity concepts in cloud environments
