Cloud Backend Engineer (IoT Platform) (m/f/d)

Your Role

• You will be part of an agile development team building and evolving the backend and IoT services that power our connected robots
• As part of the relaunch of our next-generation cloud platform, you will build and evolve the backend and IoT services that enable reliable communication and data synchronization between robots and the cloud
• You collaborate with your team members through pair programming, code reviews, and technical design discussions to build maintainable and scalable systems
• You contribute to the development and operation of services for robot and cloud backends using modern technologies, cloud-native architectures, and best practices
• You take ownership of backend services throughout their lifecycle, from design and implementation to deployment and operation in production

Your Experience and Qualifications

• You hold a degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or have comparable practical experience
• You at least three years of professional experience in backend development, preferably building cloud-based services and RESTful APIs
• You have solid experience building backend services using technologies such as TypeScript or JavaScript and working with cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services
• You are comfortable working in a Linux environment and using shell scripting when needed
• You have hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and serverless architecture patterns
• Experience with the AWS IoT Core and messaging protocols such as MQTT is a plus
• You enjoy collaborating in a team environment and contributing to the development of reliable and scalable systems for connected robotic products
