About the role
About This Role
We are seeking an experienced technology professional to design, develop, and maintain scalable Python‑based solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role sits within the Data & Analytics (BIBDA) function and focuses on building cloud‑native applications, enabling automation, and supporting data‑driven platforms with high standards of performance, security, and reliability. Based in Pune (EON), the role involves close collaboration with data engineering and cross‑functional technology teams.
What You Will Do
- Design, develop, deploy, and support Python‑based applications and services on GCP.
- Build and manage cloud infrastructure using services such as Cloud Functions, App Engine, and Cloud Run.
- Implement and maintain automation and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git‑based repositories, or Google Cloud Build.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to process and analyse large datasets using BigQuery and Cloud Storage.
- Apply best practices for scalability, security, reliability, and performance in cloud environments.
- Write unit tests and contribute to clear, maintainable technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in production cloud environments.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technology and platform decisions.
Who You Are
- Strong proficiency in Python and cloud‑native development on GCP.
- Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools and automated deployment practices.
- Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases,
Requirements
