Responsibilities

• You operate and optimize data platforms and participate in on-call duty
• You develop and administer databases, ETL tools, APIs, and backend systems (On-Prem & Cloud)
• You are responsible for requirements analysis, design, development, and integration of workflows and interfaces
• You develop solutions for meteorology and climate data according to international standards
• You modernize existing systems and further develop APIs and gateways

Qualifications

• You have a completed degree in computer science and several years of experience with data management systems in AWS and on Unix/Linux
• You work confidently with data pipelines, ETL tools (e.g., Pentaho, FME) and databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle)
• You have knowledge in programming/scripting (e.g., Python, Java, PL/SQL)
• You ideally have experience with Kafka, Airflow, NoSQL, or GIS
• You work in a structured manner according to ITIL processes and use agile methods in operations
• Very good German skills in speaking and writing
