You Are:
The Cloud Engineer (AWS Cloud Networking & Infrastructure) is responsible for designing, building, and supporting secure, scalable AWS cloud environments with a strong emphasis on networking and infrastructure engineering.
The Opportunity:
- Design, build, and support AWS cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on networking.
- Architect and manage VPCs, subnets, routing tables, NAT gateways, Transit Gateway (TGW), Direct Connect, Route 53, and hybrid connectivity.
- Implement and enhance cloud security controls including IAM, Security Groups, NACLs, WAF, and GuardDuty
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and integrate with CI/CD pipelines.
- Build and maintain AWS environments from scratch, including account setup, landing zones, access management, monitoring, and logging
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and networking issues related to DNS, routing, latency, and multi account connectivity.
- Collaborate with architecture, security, and product teams to ensure governance, compliance, and reliability standards are met.
- Support operational processes including incident, change, and request management.
What You Need:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in Cloud / Infrastructure Engineering.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Networking.
- Strong expertise in AWS networking and core services.
- Hands on experience with Terraform and cloud automation.
- Experience with scripting/automation using Python or Go.
Preferred / Nice to Have:
- Experience working in multi account AWS environments
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud governance frameworks
- Exposure to hybrid cloud connectivity
Compensation:
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: Remote-Canada Compensation Range : $115,000-$144,000
Benefits:
- Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year.
- Receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).
- Paid holidays.
- Eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty.
- Eligible for Supplemental Healthcare coverage (for employees and their dependents residing in Canada).
- Company-paid Employee Only basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.
Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year). They and their dependents residing in Canada are eligible for Supplemental Healthcare coverage, as well as Company-paid Employee Only basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.
Part-time regular and temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).
All Canadian employees who work in a province, territory or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
